Continuously cutting out features.
Building a product is a never-ending work. That is why you should continuously be cutting out features and focus on only essential elements.
- Do you need 10 pages for your landing page, or could you do it with just one?
- Do you need a dark mode, or do your users just want the app to work reliably?
- Do you need 5 different login methods, or does signing in with Google just work fine?
- Do you need to delete a project button or wait for one customer to send you an email?
- Do you need notifications, or is checking the dashboard once a day enough?
- Do you need an AI-powered chatbot on day one, or does a simple FAQ do just fine?
- Do you need a mobile app, or will a mobile-responsive website solve 90% of use cases?
- Do you … Well, you got the idea.
You need fewer than you think.
There are always more ideas than the capacity to execute. Don’t make a mistake to go through it all. Focus on the core of your product, not the salt.
What’s the best time to launch? Yesterday, but the second best time to launch is today by continuously cutting out features.
